Carl’s Drive-In

Ahoy, mateys! Batten down the hatches, and avast ye, hearties, as we set SAIL! for our 47th adventure of #CarryoutComedy. Our journey this week brings us to Carl's Drive-In (Classic!), located in Brentwood, on Historic Route 66. We have visited Carl's many times before, always for dine-in tho, never carry-out; with new management having recently taken over, we figured the time was ripe to throw them a curve, and test their limits with our frantic antics. For our order, we went with a bacon double cheeseburger, onion rings, and a fountain soda (ngl they have a rock solid fountain at this joint, you can tell they've taken the time to get the formula just right) served a la bendy straw. The experience was a little different, not sitting in at the bar and picking out our order from the slotted menu board (that used to be white but is now mustard yellow) messed with our process a bit, but the drive-in concept still works perfectly. We like the added pickup window, even though we didn't realize it was there til after we left, of course. The food was amazing as always, congratulations on 60 years to Carl's, here's to another 60!
